Alexander Celebrates Success of Johnstone Castle Youth Club

DA with Johnstone Castle Youth GroupLocal MP Douglas Alexander joined the members of Johnstone Castle Youth club in celebrating their award for volunteering in the local community at a fundraising evening which both marked the success of the group and helped to raise money for Breast Cancer Care at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Johnstone Castle Youth Club were nominated and successfully awarded the ‘Youth in our community award’ as part of the Scottish Celebrating Success events held recently.

Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP Douglas Alexander MP paid tribute to all those involved in the club saying:

“I am delighted that the contribution made by Johnstone Castle Youth Club to the local community has been recognised and rewarded.

“It is testament to the commitment and dedication of all the young members as well as the staff and volunteers involved in the youth club that even the celebration of their award serves as an opportunity to raise money for an important charity.

“The youth club should be proud of their achievement and their invaluable contribution to Johnstone Castle’s local community and I will continue to support them in their activities.”
