Better Howwood Broadband!

Join me in the Campaign for a decent Internet Connection in Howwood! Many of us now take our fast, smooth Internet access for granted these days but the community of Howwood, which is only 14 miles from Glasgow City Centre, and 7 miles from Glasgow Airport, cannot get proper access to the worldwide web. The Internet signal is so poor it's simply not workable and proves a constant frustration. Residents, the local school and businesses are missing out.

Stop College Cuts!

Scottish Government plans mean the number of colleges are to be reduced by more than a third, and continuing budget cuts to existing colleges. £35 million is being cut from Scottish College budgets this year alone. Local college, Reid Kerr, has seen it's budget slashed by £1 million and these cuts meant a forced slashing of almost 500 student places as term started last August.
