Local MP Douglas Alexander has joined other Buddies in supporting the annual Paisley Daily Express Toy Appeal, run with the Salvation Army.
The Paisley politician dropped in to the New Street offices of the paper with his toys to help local families.
MP Douglas said:
“I am delighted to join in. In these tough economic times, the annual Toy Appeal has never been more important – well done Paisley Daily Express. Buddies are well known for their generosity and big hearts so I’d urge all readers to make a donation to the appeal. They are looking for gifts for all ages, for boys and girls, it doesn’t have to be too expensive.”
“When my two children were younger both Thomas the Tank and Princess dressing-up time were popular play choices, so I hope they still can help to put a smile on a local young face this Christmas.”
“To register your child to receive a gift, pick up a form from either The Paisley Daily Express office or the Salvation Army in Mill Street, then take the completed form and appropriate ID along to the Salvation Army on Friday 16th of December. “
