MP DOUGLAS WELCOMES “WELCOME LOUNGE”

Paisley MP Douglas Alexander yesterday joined parishioners of Sherwood Greenlaw Church at a special service to dedicate the church’s new “welcome” lounge.

The special service was addressed by the Right Reverend William C Hewitt, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Speaking after the service MP Douglas said:

“I was honoured to be invited to attend this special service at which we were able to welcome the Moderator to Paisley, and it was good to see so many friends in the congregation.

“I would like to extend my thanks and admiration to the whole congregation of Sherwood Greenlaw Church for the completion of the new “welcome Lounge”. It is a tremendous achievement after nine years of work and witness.

“The new facility adds a new architectural gem to Paisley, and is worthy of the ambition and imagination of this church community.”
